AUTOMATED WATERING SYSTEM

Developed as part of a project during my time at The Ohio State University, the Auto-Water system is an automated watering solution for horses. This device is designed to fill water buckets automatically, ensuring that water levels remain consistent without manual intervention. The system uses sensors to measure water levels and triggers a pump to refill the bucket when the water falls below the desired level. It also includes a tilt sensor to prevent overflows if the bucket is tipped. The system integrates an Arduino-based controller to wirelessly transmit data, and an OLED screen displays real-time water usage.

The project was inspired by the need to improve efficiency in managing horse care, making the process easier and more reliable. It addresses shortcomings in existing systems, such as vulnerability to float failure, by providing a more durable, automated solution. The design prioritizes ease of use, safety, and the well-being of the horses, showcasing both engineering principles and practical applications.
